How do I get to the venue?

First Liberty will provide complimentary group transportation based on your flight details. Transportation will be pre-arranged according to your arrival and departing flight times. Uniformed attendants will be stationed at baggage claim at Salt Lake City International Airport to assist you.

How far is SLC Airport to venue?

It’s a 45-minute drive from the airport to the venue.

What is your children’s policy?

We are pleased to welcome guests who wish to bring their children to the Summit this summer. To ensure you and your family have a great experience, we kindly ask all attendees to adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Children’s Attendance
    Children of all ages are welcome to attend the conference; however, please note that First Liberty will not cover the cost of children’s flights.
  • Meals and Dining
    • Children 13 or older can attend the lunch and dinner programming. If you’d like them to participate in group meals, please note this on your registration form.
    • Children under 13 are invited to enjoy one of the boxed meals provided by the conference, but we ask that they eat outside of the formal programming areas to help maintain a focused atmosphere for all attendees.
  • Excursions
    • The family excursion option is the Olympic Park excursion. First Liberty will pay for the children that want to attend.
    • Fly fishing is for attendees and spouses only, no children of any age.
What if I would like to arrive early or extend my stay at the Montage Deer Valley?

You may request an early arrival or extended stay, subject to hotel availability. Any additional costs will be your responsibility. Please note your request on the registration form.

What other offsite activities are offered through Montage Deer Valley?

What is the average temperature during the FLI National Leaders Summit in July?

Average High: 76°F

Average Low: 50°F

Weather: Mild, sunny, and dry with little precipitation.

Thunderstorms: Short-lived, if they occur.

Outdoor Activities: Ideal conditions for hiking, biking, and exploring the natural beauty of the area.

How should I pack for the conference?

Layers: Temperatures can fluctuate, so packing layers is key.

Tops: A mix of short-sleeve and long-sleeve shirts, plus a few dressier items for evenings.

Walking/Hiking Shoes: Comfortable and supportive footwear is essential.

Backpack: Handy for carrying essentials like water and snacks on hikes.

Sunglasses: Protect your eyes from the strong mountain sun.

Sunscreen: Be sure to protect your skin from UV exposure.

Water Bottle: Stay hydrated with a reusable water bottle.

What should I wear for First Liberty coordinated excursions (Fly Fishing or Olympic Park Tour)?

Fly Fishing: Lightweight, dry-wicking nylon pants, socks (for wading gear), breathable long-sleeve shirt, sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses.

Olympic Park Tour: Comfortable clothing, closed-toed shoes, sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses are recommended.

Does Fly Fishing require a license/permit?

Yes, a form will be provided for you to complete.

What is the best way to plan for the higher elevation?

Here are some preventive measures:

Consider stopping in Salt Lake City (elevation: 4300 ft) for a day or two before heading to Deer Valley (elevation: 8600 ft) to acclimate.

Consult your healthcare provider, especially if you’ve experienced Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) in the past.

Preventative medications such as Diamox and/or steroids may be helpful – ask your doctor.

Is there WiFi in the venue?

Yes, WiFi will be available in both hotel rooms and conference rooms.

What if I have dietary requirements or special needs?

Please email summit@firstliberty.org with any dietary or special requests, and we will ensure the hotel staff is informed.
